John Martin brings 10 years of experience in construction, engineering and real estate in industrial, medical, retail, office and mixed-use market segments. He previously served as the Director of Business Development for a regional design/build general contractor, responsible for leading the company’s new business development and marketing efforts. John is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Environmental Science and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University’s School of Business.
John is a past president of the Piedmont Triad Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), an association that represents the professional interests of the Commercial Real Estate Development Industry. Currently, he sits on the City of Greensboro Planning Board which oversees the city’s long range land use, planning and housing and community development needs. He is also active member of the Preservation Greensboro Development Fund board of directors, the NewBridge Bank Triad Advisory Board and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Excellence Foundation. In May of 2010, John was recognized with the Triad Business Journal “40 leaders under 40” award.
George Dunn has been active in commercial real estate, development, and construction for the past 14 years. He began his career at North Carolina State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Economics. After graduating, George worked as the Director of Leasing for Merchandise Mart Properties. During his time there, he was able to oversee all leasing and tenant upfits for a 1.8 million square foot commercial portfolio comprised of over 350 tenants. He averaged ninety (90) transactions per year, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue/expense projections, and maintaining a 98% occupancy rate within the portfolio.
George then moved on to become the Director of Commercial Real Estate for a large family owned development and investment company. There, he was responsible for all acquisitions, dispositions, development, and management of a diverse portfolio comprised of over $75 million in value and over 800,000 square feet of leased space. He also secured and restructured all commercial debt to achieve company goals and investment strategies.
Justin Gibhardt began his career in the construction industry while in high school, working as a project foreman. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology at Appalachian State University, Justin joined Arden Communities as a Project Manager. During his time in this role, he managed and constructed over 130 projects. He was then promoted to the Director of Commercial Construction Operations with Arden Group where his responsibilities included annual budget projections, project management, design team coordination, and overall commercial construction portfolio management. Projects during this time included numerous automotive franchise renovations, multiple retail facilities, and uplifts.
